Let it be known right here and now, that if you're trying affiliate marketing without utilizing email marketing (as in Autoresponder Madness), then you're seriously shooting yourself in the foot right from the start.

Recently I took part in watching a webinar series, which initially I was quite excited about. However, as the series unfolded I was actually quite appalled at the asking price for the course they were presenting ($1495), when in the end, it didn't even touch on the fact to include email marketing as part of your strategy when building an online business.

In fact, if there is one thing that I've heard from many marketers that I've know throughout the years, it's that they wished that they would have starting building their email list right from the very beginning.

Sure, you can make profits through affiliate marketing without using email marketing. However, its really not a very effective strategy if you are thinking about building for the long term.

So why is email marketing so important when it comes to affiliate marketing?

It's a good question, and here's the answer that most people who have been at this game for a while will be able to tell you. Simply put, it's because it allows you to followup with potential customers, present your offer several times (if done right) and make more sales.

As any seasoned internet marketer will tell you, if you don't have a way of capturing a person's email address when they first come to your site…there is a good chance you'll never see another visit from that person again.

It's just the way it is for the most part. Attention spans on the internet are very short, and at its worst, a potential prospect probably won't even remember visiting your site by the next day.

By having a way to capture a person's email address by offering them a compelling offer while visiting your site, you've just positioned yourself for more repeat visits from that very same person. In other words, their initial visit to your site wasn't wasted. And also, let's face it, if you are using paid advertising methods for attracting visitors to your site, every penny counts.

As I stated at the beginning of this article, I really couldn't believe that this new course I was looking forward to was preaching the opposite by stating that you don't need to make things more complicated than they need to be.

Well, perhaps in some instances this is fine, but without utilizing email marketing in a fair portion of your online marketing, you really are selling yourself short of what your businesses true potential could be.

In my opinion, it makes much more sense to learn from the hard mistakes that many of us had already made early on in our internet marketing careers. That is, by getting things right the first time around, and making sure that you are utilizing email marketing in a good share of your efforts.

Autoresponder Madness provides you with a great system for doing things properly. The way they should be done from the start. This way, you won't be living with a lot of the regret that so many marketers have experienced before.
